This email will be used to contact you from lauradoesmaths@gmail.com when the courses are ready to be joined.
Each tier has three support levels. Level 1 is for students who want the framework of the club, but want to mark and grade their papers themselves. Level 2 is for students who would like their papers marked, and graded with feedback and also want access to all of the online resources. Level 3 is for students who want to join a weekly live lesson in addition to all of the above.
Please let me know here if you have any questions about the past paper club, you'll receive an email response from lauradoesmaths@gmail.com

Join the IGCSE Maths Past Paper Club!

Who can join the past paper club?

Anyone studying Edexcel IGCSE maths 4MA1 can join the club. There are separate clubs for higher and foundation tier students. The club is especially helpful for home schooled students to help familiarise them with exam materials.

When are the live lessons?

Live lessons will run on Wednesdays at 9.15am (foundation) and Thursdays at 10.40am (higher) from the week commencing 26th of January. The live lessons are limited to 5 students per class.

Why complete past papers?

Exam questions tend to follow a specific style and format. By practicing past papers you become familiar with this style and more confident bringing your maths knowledge together to complete problem solving questions. Ask any maths teacher and they’ll recommend you work on past papers when revising.

Which past papers will you work on?

In the club we use the reserve papers (you’ll see the paper references will have an R in them). These papers are genuine papers that have been sat by students (usually by those in different time zones). They are of identical difficulty and have rigorous grade boundaries. The benefit of using reserve papers is that students are less likely to have come across them in their own study.

Aren’t past papers freely available?

They absolutely are. In fact you can download all unlocked past papers and mark schemes from my website as well as many other sources at no charge.

However working on past papers can be daunting and the mark schemes unfamiliar and hard to read. The past paper club supports this work with a wide range of resources, as well as ensuring everything is easy to find in one place, with achievable deadlines.

Why join the past paper club?

We are stronger together, it’s a lot easier to be motivated to complete and work on past paper resources when you have accountability, deadlines and other people working alongside you.

With Laura’s clear marking and individual feedback to your completed past papers, you can target your revision and feel confident about the topics you are acing. Laura will send you over a current grade estimation for each completed paper and tailor your feedback to help you focus on the next steps to achieve higher grades.

When can the club be joined?

Joining information will be updated on or before the 14th of February. If you’d like to receive this information via email, please pre-register using the form opposite.
